Graham Robertson's teaching philosophy emphasises the development on piano technique and interpretation through the application of the correct musical thinking and the coordination of the mind and body as one indivisible unit.
From the earliest lessons poise, relaxation and coordination are taught and given constant consideration and emphasis.
Also taught is the correct approach to musical thinking, planning and the development of musical memory.
Lessons are given on a one-to-one basis. School group lessons appear to be cost effective but cannot offer the individual attention necessary for smooth and rapid progress especially in examination preparation. Also the various levels of ability and experience can never create a functional balance
